I picked up the Rubber Cognac Glossy Alligator strap for my vintage Omega Seamaster

I picked up the Rubber Cognac Glossy Alligator strap for my vintage Omega Seamaster, and I honestly wasn’t sure how a rubber-lined alligator strap would work on a classic watch. After wearing it for several weeks, I’m impressed.

The cognac color is rich without being too orange, and the glossy alligator finish gives the Seamaster a more upscale look while still keeping some vintage character. The shade pairs especially well with the aged dial and warm tones that naturally develop on older Omegas.

What surprised me most was the comfort. Traditional leather straps can get stiff or uncomfortable during long days, especially in warmer weather, but the rubber backing makes a noticeable difference. It feels secure on the wrist, handles moisture better than standard leather, and doesn’t require the usual break-in period.
